Tomorrow on The Garden Lady on WCAI the Postcard From Plants will be from perennial plants. They want to remind you to plant in groups for the best effect, and let the plants mingle. I’ll be talking other perennial garden tips later in the show, but at the start of the program I’ll be discussing strategies for coping with ticks with Larry Dapsis, Barnstable County Entomologist, Retired.
We’ll undoubtedly touch on other insects as well, since Larry is my go-to Insect Appreciator. Stream The Garden Lady online.
Check out this grub that my husband found last week! We took its photo, and put it back in the ground. It’s probably one of the big beetles, such as the June bug. In any case, I refuse to be grub-phobic. Yes, it’s kind of creepy, but beetles are important too, and grubs are often tasty snacks for skunks and chipmunks.
