Notice that I don’t try and keep this shrub below the windows…that is a losing battle since Hydrangea serrata and macrophylla varieties will replace their height by mid-summer. And if I did cut this plant down I’d have a dome of green leaves on top, not flowers from top to bottom.
Only cut off what’s dead.
