How Books Grow

Many who follow this blog are also people who value books about gardening and beyond. First and foremost, this blog post is a thank you note. Garden communicators, those who write about and take photos of gardens, and other authors, appreciate and depend on your support.

Secondly, those who love plants, gardening, and the natural world love every opportunity to celebrate those things: online, in print, or person-to-person in the garden. Sharing the joy that the natural world brings, in all venues, is important.

Tonight I was blessed to speak about my new book to a large audience at the Sandwich Public Library. The event was organized by Titcomb’s Bookshop, an independent bookstore on Cape Cod. I spoke to this group about The Cocktail Hour Garden: Creating Evening Landscapes for Relaxation and Entertaining, and greatly appreciated their attendance and support.

To those who came to this talk and signing, and those who come to other authors’ appearances, know that your attendance valued beyond measure. Writers and artists appreciate that just coming out to our appearances and exhibits is a huge gesture of support. It’s important, and we say thank you.

A note to my audiences: know that I so greatly appreciate your attendance! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thanks also to those who write and publish reviews that tell the public about our books. A shout out here to Ann McCormick for her review!
