Name: Hosta ‘June’
Type of Plant: A Hosta variety that offers a weed smothering shade plant, blue/lime/sage-green colors, and low-growing height.
Why I Love/Hate this plant: I love ‘June’ because it’s one of the low-growing, weed smothering hostas that makes good “socks and shoes” for other shade plants. This variety grows between 10 and 15 inches high, and the leaves are a lovely variety of colors.
A Word to the Wise: Plant this Hosta in between larger varieties or around shade shrubs.

June has a lovely mix of blue and pale green colors in the leaves.

Next year I’ll divide these plants and place them about 12″ apart so that this entire area is carpeted with this weed-smothering plant.
