If you have ever had the opportunity to move to a new property and plant new gardens, I think you’ll know how I’m feeling right now. In my lifetime I’ve been fortunate enough to start new gardens at least six times, and it’s always been with a bit of sadness as I left my last plantings behind but with a rush of excitement about the new landscapes I’m ready to cultivate.
So it is now, as I leave the radio station I’ve been broadcasting from for the past 22 years, and moving on to host a new show. I’ve been so fortunate to have such a loyal, dedicated audience on GardenLine on WXTK, and I have so appreciated your ears, calls, and gracious attention over that time. But that said, I’m so pleased to be moving to WCAI.
I’m very excited about the new things I’m planning on growing in 2025. Starting on January 4th, I’ll be hosting The Garden Lady on these NPR stations: WCAI 90.1, WNAN 91.1, and WZAI 94.3. The program will air live at 1 PM every Saturday and will be podcast as well, so you can listen at your convenience. There will be several regular segments about gardening in partnership with nature, houseplants, hydrangeas, and what’s happening in the landscape right now. But best of all, I will be continuing to take calls from listeners as I have on GardenLine for 22 years. So I expect to remain connected to all who have appreciated my thoughts and advice in the past.
The new call in number will be 866-999-4626, every Saturday from 1 PM to 2 PM.
Stay in touch, C.L
