Local Flowers, Businesses, Gardens and Beyond…

Apr 7, 2016 | Love This!

As many of you know, I’m a huge supporter of the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival.  Ten days of private gardens that are open to the public, and the entry fee for each garden ($5.00) goes to directly to a local non-profit. And if that weren’t enough, it’s ten days of garden events sponsored by local businesses, museums, and organizations. Lectures, sales, demonstrations, and more! Lush, local plantings abound.

So I’m thrilled to let you know about our kick-off party on July 7th at Cape Cod Beer in Hyannis. Here’s what we’re planning:

The non-profits who have gardens on tour will be at this party to sell tickets and promote their tours.

At this event you will be able to buy the commemorative poster, with artwork done by a Cape Cod artist. You’ll also be able to pick up advance tour maps and other CCHF materials.

Watch a continuing slide show showing gardens that will be on tour during the festival.

Hear what the Cape Cod Hydrangea Society has planned for the ten day fest.

See garden-to-vase flower arrangements done by local florists.

Sample a variety of special beverages – details to come.

Cape Cod Beer is producing a special Hydrangea Festival Label for their Summer Ale!

The bottom line: when people come together, beautiful things are cultivated. It’s a local love-fest, garden style!

I love Cape Cod Beer and I am grateful to them and all the local businesses who support this garden festival. Stay tuned for more details!

Marie – very soon there will be a link to register included on the CapeCodHydrangeaFest.com website. I’ll post about it when it’s up, but if you look in a week or two it should be there. This will be a great event!

I agree, Janet! I’m looking forward to seeing the Hydrangea Festival (a festival about gardens and landscapes, not just Hydrangeas!) get better every year.
